It should not be "pkg-config json-c" _on its own_ just yet because we will
need to support older versions for Debian unstable/testing and more
importantly Ubuntu LTS (12.04) for a while. So we'll need to try one and then
the other. Patches welcome.
(Assume it compiles fine with the newer json-c. Not tested.)
