hi Americo I took the liberty to move this to the mailing list, since others might be interested to help out with documentation. Luka has recently started something in the wiki, not sure yet where this is going:

'=' means constant - the setting can't change during a stroke. '...' means "click here for more options" 'X' marks that something has been changed there (click on all 'X' to see everything of a brush) > I'd like make some brushes variations, already some interesting, but for > me is very difficulty understand some principles, p.e., granulation and > where I can setting or modify this quality, seems to be 'jitter'. Yes I understand, allthough I thought 'jitter' would be a pretty clear one. > I've been comparing some brushes and I've making the variations, but seems > important understand your nomenclature in this window. About the glow, IIRC this happens when putting many faint dabs with a certain hardness on top of each other. It was not an intentional feature, just something that was discovered at some point and turned out useful. A similar thing did happen with the "smudge" setting, which turned out to be useful in a many more ways than it was designed for. This was most likely because the "dab" that picks the smudge color from the canvas can have a different shape than the normal dab. This is something which I would have considered a bug at the time I implemented it.
