Hm ... I have not checked the brush code that well so I am not entirely sure what are you referring to there (well I know what a lowpass filter is, but I have no idea what other filter do you have in mind). Is it possible to document a bit more how the entire process with the inputs is working? Perhaps then we can find a solution that would be flexible and simple enough. > >> If we cannot simplify, how about generalize in a meaningful way? > > I don't know. I have some :) But I also understand that hacks are necessary at the beginning when the concepts are being formed (I have also read the post about mypaint history so I am at least partially aware of it's origins). As you will soon notice my way of doing things is to write things down and think them through ... not just start hacking. And this is what I am doing since some people encouraged me to write my ideas down as soon as possible :) I am all about simple and understandable interfaces but if some other part has to be polished before that we should start there. Also some semi-regular dev meetings on irc would be nice I guess. Currently the communication is not that good in my opinion (but since I have just crashed into this community I am perhaps not the best judge of that). > >> nevertheless I would like to know (if you know from the top of your >> head) which brush uses both speeds so that I can look into this a bit >> more. > > Not from my head, but I checked before sending the last mail.
