There are two components involved, git and Gitorious. Underneath follows the basic outline of what you need to do for each. Gitorious.org 1) register an account and log in 2) add your ssh key (possibly means you have to generate one) - http://gitorious.org/about/faq 3) create a personal clone of the mainline repository git ( 0) install git, clone the master branch of mypaint ) 1) configure git with your name and email adress - http://progit.org/book/ch1-5.html#your_identity 2) (make and) commit your changes - http://progit.org/book/ch2-2.html 3) push it to your personal clone that you setup on Gitorious - http://gitorious.org/about/faq If you have questions on any specific step, just ask. -- Regards Jon Nordby - www.jonnor.com
