Hi, I'm responding to: http://www.sububi.org/2010/08/18/free-interaction-design-for-your-open-source-project/
We in the MyPaint project would like your help with MyPaint's user interface. About (from www.mypaint.info): "MyPaint is a fast and easy open-source graphics application for digital painters. It lets you focus on the art instead of the program. You work on your canvas with minimum distractions, bringing up the interface only when you need it." For that to be possible the UI needs to be intuitive, discoverable and non-obtrusive, and we are working to get closer to those ideals. Currently we have about 3-4 people (albeit also busy with other things) who can implement interface changes involved in our project, in addition to some passionate users, so response time should not be a problem. The limited scope of the application means that it should be easily approachable by not-so-experienced interaction designers, and that even small improvements will be highly visible. As MyPaint is designed for use with a graphics tablet, we ask that the students working on it have one available. A good tablet can be had for about 50 USD, so hopefully that is not a deal-breaker. If there is any sort of information you need, just ask. -- Regards Jon Nordby - www.jonnor.com _______________________________________________ Mypaint-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/mypaint-discuss
