Looks like PostworkShop is another user of the MyPaint brush engine. Screenshot: http://maxy.homeip.net/misc/PostworkShop.jpg If anyone is interested in trying it, feel free to use the keys in the mail below. (Email forwarded with permission.)

The port is not perfect, we do not handle well a few dynamic brush properties, especially the stylus pressure, because this information is missing from Juce, we will have to write it ourselves. On the other hand, because the editor integrates into a filter graph as a filter node, a few interesting workflows become available, like cloning (on a white or transparent canvas, picking up the colors from the input pin of the filter node) or displaying a reference image as a painting guide. We also use scanned brush tips in the editor, but this is currently a separate engine, with a lot of redundant code (e.g. geometric and color jitters). In the future we will try to unify the two processing pipelines, if possible. I attached a screen capture of the editor, displaying also the about box (I hope your presence there is OK). The image shows a photo processed by a Simple Watercolor filter, followed by the bitmap editor node. On the left side of the image I played with the hard contours using a MyPaint based chalk brush, in clone mode. If you, your team members or maybe your artist friends want to play with the program, you can download the beta from our site (postworkshop.net). I also generated a few PostworkShop Pro serial numbers for you, to distribute as needed (one serial allows three parallel activations): PWSP-JR44-J2PG-AHDK-2WGF-5RM9 PWSP-E47D-LGPF-N6J3-TK73-4KR1 [cut one key] Thanks again for your team's great work with the engine! If you decide to keep it, you could use the same phrase as in the MyPaint about dialog box, eg "Brush engine by Martin Renold and the MyPaint Development Team". -- Martin Renold _____ No virus found in this message.
