Thanks for starting the wiki page! Added a screenshot and more information about my branch. I didn't make public my own animation branch because I think it's not ready to be widely usable yet. Of course I want people to use it! For that I need to fix some bugs, write some documentation, and discuss with MyPaint devs about a plug-in system. I was keeping the branch in sync with mainline branch, until my animation project got me busy. And as you said, animation is out of the scope of MyPaint mainline (fortunately, I think, I very like it's minimalistic approach). I was waiting until my project finishes (it will be in a few days, woo!), but I think I'll start discussion in the mailing list now.
