I am running MyPaint on a Mac OSX v10.6.8 and I find I am unable to instal a fresh version of MyPaint. I have tried deleting both the application together with the complete opt/mypaint directory. On re-installing, history is retained in new version. I had first discovered this issue when trying to reset brushes to default settings. I tried removing brushes/order.conf file as per the wiki http://wiki.mypaint.info/Documentation/FAQ#How_do_I_reset_all_settings_to_the_installation_defaults.3F All the brushes were then put into a new Lost&Found direcetory, so I had lots of fun recreating brush tabs and replacing brushes to their correct 'default' locations. The issue this time is with Backgrounds. I inadvertently duplicated the default 03_check1 option (twice) and I cannot remove unnecessary instances. I am a control freak and this is very distressing to me :) Many thanks, in anticipation. -A
