Provides in-depth technical needs analysis, advice, and technical support regarding database configuration and utilization issues. Responsible for designing database query specifications, database implementation, performance tuning administration and security. *Some have data modeling and data mining skills. Typically engage in post-sale delivery activities, but may participate in pre-sale activities directly with customers. Works with relationship database technology in an application development environment (Teradata, DB2, ORACLE, Informix) and data sourcing tools (Visual Basic, Powerbuilder). A senior level position that typically leads engagement planning and execution of client consulting projects and helps secure new engagements. Requires technical degree in computer science with a database concentration or related discipline, and 8 to 10 years related experience.;* *SunGard Experience using Mercury Quality Center.
