Hello friends am looking for the - *WAS admin /Architect*
WAS Architect in Baltimore MD (long term contract) for a position in which
the candidate will be providing technical guidance and support for
installing, maintaining, and administering a maturing WAS configuration on a
Windows-based platform that will be used by various components across a very
large organization for BPM services. We are looking for a motivated person
who wants to work in a dynamic environment in which their expertise in WAS,
WebSphere Business Modeler, SOA, and related technologies can be fully
utilized. This will be a phone screen then face to face on site in
Baltimore. We can be flexible on rate but would like to stay around the
$40-45/HR mark.
*Job skills and requirements: *
- Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience installing,
maintaining, and administering WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Version
6.x/7.x and related components (e.g. Deployment Manager, etc.) in a
Windows-based environment -* Required*
- Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience installing,
maintaining, and administering IBM WebSphere Business Modeler
Version 6.x.x
and related components (e.g. WebSphere Business Publishing
Server, etc.) in
a Windows-based environment -* Required*
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
involving WebSphere Application Server (WAS) for Windows
configurations* - Required*
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining DB2 UDB
Version 9.x on a Windows-based platform -* Required *
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle
database configurations on a Windows-based platform -* Desired *
- In-depth experience with Microsoft Windows Server configurations
including patch management -* Required *
- Hands-on experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting
LDAP and Internet security configurations -* Required *
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP and networking -* Required*
- Ability to conduct discussions with project stakeholders to identify
elements essential for successful configuration of software based on
customer specifications -* Required*
- Working knowledge of WAS on other platforms (e.g. Sun Solaris, z/OS,
etc.) -* Desired*
*Additional requirements: *
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or
similar.
- Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team
environment.
- Ability to adapt well to change.
- Ability to effectively multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills -* Required*
- Participate in regularly scheduled workgroup meetings to review and
monitor project status.
- Certifications in WAS, Windows, BPM, TCP/IP, and/or security would be a
plus
