I just downloaded and installed the following files: MySQL-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm MySQL-client-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm MySQL-shared-3.22.32-1.i386.rpm After installation I ran the mysql__install_db script. mysqld will not start. The error log is as follows: /usr/sbin/mysqld: can't create/write to file '/var/run/mysqld.pid (errcode:13) /usr/sbin/mysqld: can't find file: host.ISM (errcode:2) mysql ended What am I missing?
