I could probably dig up the e-mail in which someone from MySQL said
that. (Or I'm mis-remembering...)

Last I heard him mention about, he talked about how it was fairly easy
but paying customers wanted other things done first.

If only someone who really *needs* subselects was willing to put their
money where their mouth is...
