Hello all I am very new to this so please have patience with this
question.
I have recently installed mysql on debian potato and after installing I
was able to get a mysql prompt by typing mysql at the normal; user prompt
(not root) I thought that this was good. However I now get
ERROR 1045: access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: (NO)
when I try typing mysql at the root prompt. I have read the manual but as
yet
have not managed to set any grant tables can anyone point me in the right
direction
Many thanks
-
