I have a problem with mysql_connect() when use character set for MySQL server different from default (latin1). Every time when I change charset PHP says: Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Can't initialize character set 17 (path: default) I've try to recompile PHP when MySQL compiled by default with character set cp1251, but PHP report again this error. In other side console mysql client working fine with everything character set. What can I do ? 10x in @vance Boril
