Hi everyone, thanks in advance for any tips whatsoever. I've been
running mysql 3.22(STABLE) on a RedHat Linux 6.2 setup, 512 RAM, pentium
III 700 18 GIG ultrawide scsi. It's been running just fine for a few
months, then all of a sudden it just dies. When I restarted using
safe_mysqld it came up with no error messages, or any messages at all
for that matter. However, when I attempt to connect through mysqladmin
it just hangs there with no connection or errors. I have to kill the
process with kill -9. I haven't done any changes to the linux system,
upgrade libs or kernel etc.... There are limited users on the system so
i don;t think it's an overload. I tried upgrading mysql to the latest
stable version but nothing.... Does anyone have any ideas what could
cause a problem like this? Any tips I can follow??

thanks
