Hi, There is a mistake and my last question. I am asking about libmysqlclient.a, not libmysql.a. And this is the case: I am using Perl's MySQL module which upon installation always asks me where libmysqlclient.a or libmysqlclient.so is. So, I guess even Windows users need those too. In order to get libmysqlclient.a, I tried to compile MySQL source distribution, but it failed detecting my OS during configure and exited with a message: "Could not find the right ps switches. Which OS is this?" I am using Cygwin gcc. Does anybody know how to work around my problem? Note: config.log attached Thanks. ~Agus~ > Hi! > > On Windows you should use libmysql.lib instead.
