Here is my configure statement and the generated error message ( I am using
GCC2.95.2):
CC="gcc" CXX="gcc" ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql
checking whether the C++ compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C++ compiler cannot cre
ate executables.
