Hi, Having a problem running safe_mysqld from my init scripts. I use simpleinit, and i simply call /usr/local/mysqld/bin/safe_mysqld & from my rc file. This works for all other services, however, mysqld ends immediately. The .err file shows: 010312 07:51:43 mysqld started /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: ready for connections 010312 7:52:16 /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Normal shutdown 010312 7:52:16 /usr/local/libexec/mysqld: Shutdown Complete 010312 07:52:16 mysqld ended I am able to start safe_mysqld fine from shell, but it will just not boot during init.
