For some reason I cannot figure, mysqld is now leaving loads
of SQLXXXX.ISD/ISM files in /tmp/ .. perhaps 10 a minute..

there are no errors reported in the mysqld log file, other
than one or two connection aborted every hour.
the files are all owned by root, group root.
/tmp is rwx word with t bit on.

As far as I can guess this started with a linux kernel
upgrade to 2.4.1

There seems to be no other ill effects from this
