hi,
i'm triying to install MySQL/3.23.35 on a sparc running Solaris 7
Here are the steps I follow :
# cd mysql-3.23.35
# CC=gcc CFLAGS="-O6 -mcpu=v8 -Wa,-xarch=v8plusa"
# CXX=gcc CXXFLAGS="-O6 -felide-constructors -fno-exceptions -fno-rtti
-mcpu=v8 -Wa,-xarch=v8plusa"
# ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql-3.23.35 --with-low-memory
--enable-assembler --with-client-ldflags=-all-static
--with-mysqld-ldflags=-all-static --with-innobase
...
The configure workes fine.
But the make genrates this error :
# make
...
Undefined first referenced
symbol in file
dlclose /usr/lib/libnsl.a(netdir.o)
dlsym /usr/lib/libnsl.a(netdir.o)
dlopen /usr/lib/libnsl.a(netdir.o)
dlerror /usr/lib/libnsl.a(netdir.o)
ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to mysql
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [mysql] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/share/src/mysql-3.23.35/client'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/share/src/mysql-3.23.35'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
Does this speak to someone ?
Thanks
