Is there any MySQL built in function to convert datetime types to real numbers (float) i.e. seconds or days since a reference date? I can't find any in the manual. If not, how do I best write a speedy one (conversion of calendar dates to Julian days is a bit tricky)? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion H
