Hi,

I have one problem with service MySQL on Windows XP Home Edition.
I use unzipped version of MySQL. Problem occurs in version 4.1.2 alpha, 4.1.2b alpha, 4.1.3 beta, 4.1.3b beta.
Let me explatin:
I unzipped mysql into c:\mysql. Set some variables in my.ini (only default-character-set), install service with mysqld.exe --install.
When I reboot computer, service in Service manager is up and running, but I am not able to connect with mysql command line tool (or anything else). When I restart service with Service manager, everything is ok. But when I reboot computer, it happens again.
No messages in mysql log, no messages in Event viewer.
This occurs only on one computer in work. At home everything is fine.
Can you help me?

Stano.
