Upgrade?

I'm using 4.15 currently, and it seems to be very stable.  I noticed 
that a v4.17 or something has come out recently.

Is it worth upgrading?  Can I just install the new version without 
damaging my current databases or are there specified steps?  Where would 
I find them if there are?
