Hi all, In version 4.0.18 when setting the wait_timeout variable to 10 in my.cnf, it seems to work when looking at 'mysqladmin variables' as it is indeed showing up as 10.
However, when in the mysql client and I do a 'show variables' it is showing up with the default value of 28800. I'm certain that I've connected to the same server and was using all the tools from /usr/bin/mysql and specifying paths like this bin/safe_mysqld, bin/mysqladmin, bin/mysql etc... Anyone seen this before or am I going crazy?
