Forgive me replying to my own post....
There is a bug in the MySQL engine of this suite (shmysql). This has been fixed in ShellSQL-0.7.1 at the below mentioned places. If you have downloaded 0.7 you should download 0.7.1 and re-install (only shmysql is effected here, all the other programs are the same).
