Hello.
Have you been at: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/too-many-connections.html [snip] Hi, I have a live site using mysql. It is heavily used with over thousand users per minute, with 3 select / update queries per user per minute accounting to over 3000 queries per minute. The problem is that many times connection to this mysql server fails with the error "Too many connection" also sometimes the server becomes down bcoz of overload. The server has around 4GB of RAM with mysql version of 4.0.23 So my question is , is the problem related with just tuning of configuration parameters or can the problem be solved by any means too. Any kind of help is deeply appreciated.
