You may have to recompile php and Perl's DBI drivers, or you *may* be able to find some RPMs that will just 'drop in', but I don't use rpms so I couldn't say. The DBI drivers aren't marked as stable yet on my distro ( Gentoo ), so be careful there. If you use ODBC, you will have to upgrade to the latest version of MyODBC - which has some bugs so scan the MyODBC mailing list first.
