We are running MySQL on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3, using the Red Hat-
supplied RPM file mysql-server-3.23.58-2.3. Our current MySQL configuration has MyISAM as the default database file type. I would like to change this such that InnoDB is the default. My understanding of the documentation says that, after changing the configuration file and restarting the MySQL server, there will be no problems using the existing MyISAM databases.

Is that correct?
