Dear All, I have mysql installed on top of redhat 3.0 machines and I have created user called root and assigned a password. I have tried connecting to database locally by using Mysql -h localhost -u root -p it connected When I tried using host name it is not connecting and giving an error Error 1130: Host 'node1.example.com' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server. Can any body suggest me the right procedure.
