Passing parameter to mysql script

Hi all ,
  I need to pass paramter to mysql script , for example , my script ,
    INSERT INTO SYSTEM_PARAMETER_TABLE      	 
(branch_code,param_name,station_id,param_value)
    VALUES(?,?,?,?)

Anybody have any ideas how to do that ?
