Greetings

We're in a peculiar situation that needs resolution.

Situation:

System XYZ  RH AS 2.1
RH mysql client --> mysqlclient9-3.23.22-8
RH php -->  php-4.1.2-2.2 & php-mysql-4.1.2-2.2

System ABC  RH AS 3.0
RH mysql server --> 4.1.10-standard

The mysql client on XYZ can not talk to mysql server on ABC.

Option of installing later version of the
mysqlclient  "MySQL-client-4.1.12-1.i386.rpm"  (off of mysql.com)
does not exist.

Any idea to make mysql on XYZ to talk to mysql server on ABC?

Thanks,
Farid H.
