Does anyone know what the range for server-id can be? Is it a 16 bit number? 32 bit?
I can't seem to find it in the documentation or via google. I guess most people just do "server-id = 1" and "server-id = 2" but for large setups, that becomes difficult to manage and there are better ways of tying a slave server-id to a machine (last few digits of MAC addr, IP addr, etc...)
