Dear all, I have a MySQL 4.0.23 server running on an OpenBSD machine. When I try to connect to it with MySQL Administrator 1.0.21 from my Mac OS X machine, I get this error:
Connection error Could not connect to MySQL instance at <hostname>. Error: unknown system variable 'sql_mode' (code 1193) I can connect with MySQL administrator 1.0.9 beta. I'm guessing the administrator 1.0.21 is explicitly asking for a 4.1 specific server variable and the 4.0 server doesn't understand it. Is there any way around this, or is there a fix planned?
