I installed mysql-4.1.14-ia64-11.23.depot on a HP-UX Itanium rx4640, 11.23 O.S. without a problem. I used the following install command: swinstall -s /tmp/mysql-4.1.14-ia64-11.23.depot The problem I'm noticing is that it appears I'm missing files - library files, in particular. I got these kind of errors: ./mysqld_safe -u root The file /usr/local/libexec/mysqld doesn't exist or is not executable /usr/local/mysql/bin> ./mysqlcheck /usr/lib/hpux32/dld.so: Unable to find library '/usr/local/lib/hpux32/mysql/libmysqlclient.so'.
