You'll forgive me for not joining in the speculations. Please don't misread our lack of expressive detail as us sitting on our hands: either in the past, presently, or at any point in the future. Even for an open source company, operating in the real world means that not everything is always public. I do appreciate that you have questions beyond the answers given so far.
