I think InnoDB/Oracle is going to meet all their obligations to their paying customers, licensers and licensees. If there is a mismatch between what you consider 'fair' and the actual obligations of InnoDB/Oracle you have not done your homework before choosing a database and I hope it will be a valuable lesson.
