I'm new to MySQL and have just installed the 5.0 on a WinXP-Workstation.
I have a question concerning the use of the shell-interface of my
mysql-Installation.
To load data in a table
I used WinXP-Notepad to create tab-separated records (they contain
special german chars ("Umlaute")
I used the LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE-Statement to import the data.
Everything seems to be OK, but when I make a SELECT in the shell, the
special characters are shown scrambled.
Is that wright or did I make a mistake?
