problem with curses/termcap library

Hi,

Trying to generate mysql 3.23.38 from source distribution, i got the error :

checking for tgetent in -lncurses... no
checking for tgetent in -lcurses... no
checking for tgetent in -ltermcap... no
checking for termcat functions library ...configure:error:No curses/termcap library 
found


when running ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/mysql


Does anybody can help ?
