When I installed from RedHat disc, if I ran mysql_install_db prior to setting the
password, I was unable to use mysq, b/c "couldn't find mysql.sock." If I install, and
simply issue password, and start mysql up, the initial tables, "mysql" and "test" were
created. Running mysql_install_db continually gae me problems.
