In my opinion, if it works in general with 5.0. MySQL tries to keep backward compatibility for its products as much as possible. So it should work, however, not all features of 5.0 could be available. MyODBC 3.51.12 is suitable for use with any MySQL version including MySQL 4.1 or 5.0 (from Announcement message).
