Server scenario: Dedicated server running MySQL 4 and secondary process inserting data into MySQL How does one calculate what the values should be for the following areas in the my.cfg file to give optimal performance: - Key Buffer Size - Maximum Packet Size - Sort Buffer Size - Network Buffer Size - MyISAM Sort Buffer Size - Tables to Cache - etc Basically anything that can be tweaked to enhance the servers perfomance.
