I've had mysql 3.23 running for quite some time now and have accessed it
remotely via the ODBC driver. All of a sudden, it won't let me connect
remotely anymore, while I still have a connection from localhost. I found
some info on the /tmp/mysql.sock file being deleted. I looked for it and
it is gone. I can't seem to find in the manual how to recreate this file
and exactly what the contents are to be. Where can I find the specifics on
this file and is it truly the cause of my problems?
