The command below will make you to connect from the mysql database server The command is " grant all privileges on *.* to 'user1'@'localhost' identified by password" By giving this command the new privileges will not overide the old privileges. Hi Krishna, If i execute a new grant statement, then the new previlage will over ride the old previlage, if this happens, then i will not be able to connect from other client machines. I want to connect from client also from the local host.
