Hello Recently I changed my servers. The old server spec is Core2Duo E6600 with 4gb ram and 320gb SATA. The new server spec is Dual Opteron 2.1ghz with 4gb ram and 73gb 15kRPM SAS.
Now here comes the problem. I generated 3gb forum backup (sql format) and putted it back in to the new server. It took a lot of time so my ssh connection was cut off but I'm assuming it was fine. Tried loading the forum and it took 15 times the time needed to load a page. Page generation of one page takes about 14sec. So I decided to dig in. I tried installing phpBB 3 on a new database and it is pretty fast.. The old server and the new server uses the same my.cnf file. Any ideas?
