Hello, I notice that there are two places where a database can be specified for the mysql client: (i) at the end of the line and (ii) after the -D flag. Are there any particular reasons for this design decision? I also notice that the -D flag is not supported by mysql 3.22.32 which produces a segmentation fault when used although the --help flag lists it as an option. With later versions of mysql both seem to work. What are the reasons for introucing this flexibility in terms of being able to specify the database to be used in two different ways? Just curious, Thanks, Neil --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
