Hello All,

Our company is going to be setting up on a dedicated server, so I am in the
process of doing some "crash course" learning as a system admin. We are looking
at a server with RedHat Linux 6.2 O/S and we want to install MySQL laster stable
version w/InnoDB enabled. Now from the docs, it suggests to use the "source"
distribution, which involves alot of manual configurations I believe, if I read
the docs correctly, and linux requires the RPM dist. My question is, can we use
the binary dist, and still configure it w/InnoDB??

Just a suggestion from a novices!
It would terrific if someone could come up with some of a form on MySQL's site,
something like fill is some form fields about the server and how you want it
setup, and it will display the recommended distribution to use/install! :)

THX,

Mike(mickalo)Blezien
