Completely new to mysql. I have extensive Oracle and SQL server administration experience. I have inherited a mysql database that is several years old. It doesn't look like there are any backup mechanisms in place. Could there be something being scheduled from within mysql that is handling this? There are no cron jobs that do anything that looks like mysqldump, mysqlhotcopy etc. Please let me know if I am completely off base here. A plain old UNIX backup won't work right? Running on Solaris 2.7. Thanks. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< April Sims MCSE, CNE Abilene Christian University OCP 8i DBA ACU Box 29005 Information Technology Abilene, TX 79699 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Vx:(915)674-2681 Fx:674-6724 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< --------------------------------------------------------------------- Before posting, please check: http://www.mysql.com/manual.php (the manual) http://lists.mysql.com/ (the list archive) To request this thread, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, e-mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Trouble unsubscribing?
