Following the manual at http://www.mysql.com/doc/R/e/Resetting_permissions.html, I still get the following error: # mysqladmin -h 127.0.0.1 -u root password 'newpass' mysqladmin: unable to change password; error: 'You must have privileges to update tables in the mysql database to be able to change passwords for others' Can anyone help with this error? A search through the mail archives and google yield nothing.
