Dear Sir, I installed MySQL binary on my Linux Slackware 8.0 system. Then when I tried to run 'safe_mysqld' I got these error messages:
011114 07:51:47 mysqld started 011114 7:51:47 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13) 011114 07:51:47 mysqld ended 011114 07:53:44 mysqld started 011114 7:53:44 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13) 011114 07:53:44 mysqld ended 011114 07:55:56 mysqld started 011114 7:55:56 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13) 011114 07:55:56 mysqld ended 011114 09:07:35 mysqld started 011114 9:07:36 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Can't find file: './mysql/host.frm' (errno: 13) 011114 9:07:36 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Normal shutdown 011114 09:07:36 mysqld ended What do these messages mean? Can you help me?
