Howdy, I'm running MySQL 3.23.43 on Redhat 7.1 and an older version of MySQL 3.22.something on Redhat 6.2. Download and install from the RPM's and it works like a charm. I have never had a problem.
One day when it is working a little harder, I shall look at recompiling to optimise, but so far, i does it's job.
